VIVA – In 2019, Falcon Pictures will do a remake of the 2013 best-selling Korean drama film, Miracle in Cell No.7. Currently, the Lee Hwan Kyung’s film is ranked as South Korea’s third best-selling film of all time.
Frederica, Falcon Pictures producer, revealed that she was happy to be given the trust to remake the Korean Box Office movie. “Praise to God, all the processes went well, and we’re thankful Falcon Pictures is finally able to remake the film Miracle In Cell No 7. Hopefully, the film production process will go smoothly,” she said.
The film Miracle in Cell No.7 quickly gained success when it ran in theaters in January 2013. The movie managed to make US$ 81.8 million.
The film, which starred beautiful actress Park Shin Hye and actor Ryu Seung Ryong, is a warm comedy wrapped in a melodramatic story about a man named Lee Yong Gu (Ryu Seung Ryong) who was jailed due to being wrongfully accused of murder.
In prison, he shared a cell with several genuine criminal offenders, who then became his friends. These criminals actually helped Yong Gu, who really missed his son, by smuggling the child into prison.
