Jakarta (ANTARA) - Actor and comedian Indro Warkop has poured out his longing for his deceased friends in the song "Dan Aku Rindu," the soundtrack for the film "Warkop DKI: Viralin Dong!"
According to a press release from the filmmakers received in Jakarta on Tuesday, the song was written by Indro, Darmawan (Dado) and Nurul Huda Manshur (Nanang), and arranged by the Nunung CS Orchestra.
Indro said that the song "Dan Aku Rindu" was born from feelings he had long harbored.
According to Indro, the song became a way for him to express his longing for his deceased friends in the Warkop DKI group, namely Dono, Kasino, Nanu, and Rudy Badil.
"How much I miss them. Honestly, this song is based on me wanting to say, I'm still here, I still have fans, not because of me, but because of them too, and I will never forget all that," he said.
The music video for the song "Dan Aku Rindu," sung by Indro Warkop, has been released.
Five hours after its release on Falcon Pictures' official Instagram account, the music video garnered over 700,000 views and 50,000 likes.
"I'm very happy that the public has embraced this, and even more so, that they've responded to it the way I feel," said Indro.
The film "Warkop DKI: Viralin Dong!", produced by Falcon Pictures, is scheduled to be released in Indonesian theaters on June 11, 2026.
The film's cast includes Vino G. Bastian, Desta Mahendra, Tora Sudiro, Indro Warkop, Marsha Timothy, Asri Welas, Andre Taulany, and Ivan Gunawan.
The song "Dan Aku Rindu" hints that "Warkop DKI: Viralin Dong!" will not only be an entertaining comedy, but also a story about friendship, loss, and memories.
