Jakarta - On Thursday (August 7, 2025), Iwan Fals and Isyana Sarasvati launched their collaborative song, Bunga Terakhir (Last Flower). This song, written by Bebi Romeo, will serve as the soundtrack for the animated film Panji Tengkorak.

Falcon Pictures launched Isyana Sarasvati and Iwan Fals' version of Bunga Terakhir ahead of the release of Panji Tengkorak, which will be released on August 28, 2025.

This latest arrangement of Bunga Terakhir was specifically designed to reflect the deepest side of the character Panji, a warrior who loses his true love and must continue living due to a curse of black magic.

This song serves as an emotional bridge between the audience and the character Panji, played by Denny Sumargo. The melodies of Iwan Fals and Isyana's voices enhance the narrative of the film, which is directed by Daryl Wilson.

Frederica, producer at Falcon Pictures, said that the choice of song and collaboration was not an ordinary decision. Bunga Terakhir will be a symbol in the film.

"We wanted the soundtrack for Panji Tengkorak to not only support the story, but also speak directly to the hearts of the audience. The song Bunga Terakhir symbolizes Panji's lost soul, driven by love and guilt," said Frederica during a press conference in the Kemang area, South Jakarta, Thursday (August 7, 2025).

"We believe that only Iwan Fals and Isyana can convey that depth. This is a song for those who have experienced loss. Furthermore, Isyana and Iwan Fals' voices blend in a harmony that immerses us in the meeting of two generations," she continued.

Iwan Fals said he felt a personal connection when performing this song. He admitted he was immediately drawn to it, especially performing it with Isyana Sarasvati.

"When I was offered to sing Bunga Terakhir with Isyana, I was immediately moved. Coincidentally, a few years before this song exploded, my son, my younger brother, and my father passed away, so this song touched me deeply," said Iwan Fals.

"And when it's connected to the tragic story of Panji, it feels even deeper. This isn't just singing, but conveying the grief that's deeply rooted in my soul," he said.

Isyana Sarasvati has heard this song since childhood. It's a ballad that captivated her.

"This is one of the most beautiful Indonesian ballads, both in terms of workmanship, lyrics, and arrangement. It's original, and it's married, and it's so full of life. This is a real challenge, especially putting life into an existing song. I'm very grateful for this opportunity. I hope this new version conveys its message to the audience and energizes the film Panji Tengkorak. I feel honored," said Isyana Sarasvati.

The film Panji Tengkorak features a cast of celebrities, including Denny Sumargo, Aghniny Haque, Donny Alamsyah, Cok Simbara, Nurra Datau, Revaldo, Donny Damara, Prit Timothy, and Tanta Ginting.
