Si Doel The Movie Took Rano Karno To Winning Awards Again
Kapanlagi.com – Who doesn’t know Rano Karno. The man popular by his nickname Bang Doel has risen to fame since he portrayed the figure of Si Doel Anak Sekolahan in 1994. Since then, he has received several awards in the Indonesian film industry.
Since serving as Deputy Governor of Banten in 2012-2014, Rano Karno is no longer active in acting. But, his artistic soul is still burning bright, and finally he returned to making a film that was awaited by his fans.
After stepping down from office, Rano Karno worked on a new film called Si Doel The Movie in 2018. In the film, Si Doel is again played by Rano himself.
Si Doel The Movie became Rano Karno’s comeback film after several years of break. The release of this film was enjoyed by many Indonesian movie lovers and became a success. The movie made his name shine again. Nobody predicted that at the Indonesia Movie Actors Award (IMAA 2019) which was held on Thursday (3/14), Rano Karno would be chosen as the Best Male Actor.
This was not his first time receiving such award. 28 years ago, he also became the Best Male Actor in the FFI Award through the film, Taksi. In addition, Rano Karno has also received the award as Favorite Male Drama Star at the Panasonic Award in 1997.
