The eyes of actor Aliando Syarief (22) and director Rako Prijanto (45) were glistening at the end of the screening of Asal Kau Bahagia in Zodiac Theater, Thursday (20/12/2018) afternoon.

The screening of Asal Kau Bahagia, created by Rako and Falcon Pictures studio, has made history.

Asal Kau Bahagia, starring Aliando, Aurora Ribero (14) and Dewa Dayana, to be aired in theatres starting 27 Descember 2018, is the first Indonesian movie to be premiered on a cruise ship.

Zodiac Theater is the movie theater on board of Genting Dream Cruise, which set sail from Marina Bay Sands, Singapore, to Port Klang, Malaysia.

Not only Rako and Aliando, Rizal Disandi, known as the vocalist of Band Armada, also shed tears after watching the story of the movie who was inspired by the lyrics of the song Asal Kau Bahagia by Band Armada.

The emotions of the three seem to represent the rest of the audience in the packed theatre.

“Ever since the song Asal Kau Bahagia was planned to be made into a movie, I was already very excited. When I was about to enter the theater (Zodiac) and watch the movie, I was already an emotional mess,” said Rizal.

One of the best scenes in the movie that had made Rizal cried was when Aliando’s father, played by Surya Saputra, became emotional about his son’s passing.

Aliando’s character died in the story after a car accident on a street of Jakarta.

Before he passed away, Aliando sent a message to Aurora in the form of a video recording.
The message said that Ali is sincerely letting go of Aurora, his girlfriend, who turned out to also have special feelings for Rassya (played by Teuku Rassya).

On behalf of Mai (guitar) and Andit (drum), Rizal expressed his pride that their song lyrics inspire the making of a movie after 11 years in the Indonesian music industry.

“This is a result of our hard work, Band Armada, who started off bumming from Palembang to Jakarta, but now we receive tremendous appreciation,” said Rizal.

Rako and Aliando are just grateful and thankful that the movie Asal Kau Bahagia received a wonderful surprise of being premiered on a cruise ship.

“This is my first time premiering on a cruise ship. Thank you Falcon Pictures for such an amazing appreciation for this movie,” said Rako, who felt challenged to create the movie Asal Kau Bahagia because the song’s video clip have over 260 million viewers on YouTube.

Frederica, Falcon Pictures producer, stated that the story in Asal Kau Bahagia movie is considered rare to be seen in Indonesian silver screens.
