KBRN, Purwokerto: Falcon Pictures film company released the trailer for its latest production titled Panji Tengkorak via Falcon's Youtube channel on Monday (2/6/2025). This animated film is scheduled to hit theaters on August 28, 2025.

The Panji Tengkorak film is adapted from the legendary Indonesian comic story by Hans Jaladara. Panji Tengkorak was first published in 1968 and became an icon of Indonesian martial arts comics at that time with its distinctive and dramatic illustration style.

Quoting Falcon's Youtube, the animated film Panji Tengkorak tells the story of Panji who sells his soul to black magic in order to avenge his wife's death. He intends to end his life, but finds that his body is now shackled by black magic that controls his soul.

After wandering aimlessly, Panji meets an old warrior who asks for his help in pursuing a bandit who has seized a sacred heirloom. Panji accepts the offer that drags him into a long war between two kingdoms and reveals the reality of his dark past.

Directed by Daryl Wilson, the film features Denny Sumargo, Nurra Datau, Donny Damara, and Aghniny Haque as voice actors. Until this news was written, the Panji Tengkorak trailer has been watched by more than 154 thousand viewers and is on the trending list of Youtube. (TP)
