Grid.ID - Successful on Webtoon with 800 million readers, Falcon Pictures is remaking the comic 'Pasutri Gaje' for the big screen and will start shooting on June 23.

This film, directed by Fajar Bustomi, stars a number of well-known artists such as Reza Rahadian, Bunga Citra Lestari, Indro Warkop, Ira Wibowo, Arifin Putra, Andre Taulany, Mieke Amalia, Kiky Saputri, Nadine Alexandra, Zsa Zsa Utari, Tarzan Srimulat, Tommy Lim, M Iqbal Sulaiman, Joshia Frederico, Ephy Pae, Maya Wulan, Baby Jovanca, Niniek Arum, Tj Ruth, Ence Bagus, and Yessy Kenyang.

Fajar Bustomi revealed that this comedy drama film tells the story of a husband and wife who are funny and absurd.

"Pasutri Gaje tells the story of a husband and wife couple, people see it, it's not clear who they are. Even though they are actually a romantic husband and wife couple. Even though there are crazy things that don't seem clear. I saw it, this will be a new film for me, even for Indonesian film viewers," said Fajar Bustomi during a press conference at the Falcon Picture Office, Duren Tiga, South Jakarta on Tuesday (20/6/2023).

Meanwhile, as the main actors, Reza Rahadian and Bunga Citra Lestari admitted that they were happy to be able to act together again.

Moreover, the story is new and interesting to present to the audience.

"Of course it's an opportunity for us to be together again in one film, an interesting genre as well as a story. I like absurdity, romance, it will get more humor, uniqueness, romance that actually exists in the real world," said Reza Rahadian.

"Pairing up in a comedy film can be challenging. I hope this is a comedy film that will be something interesting," added Bunga Citra Lestari.

Indro Warkop, as a senior in film, hopes that Indonesian films can be enjoyed and liked by the public.

"We hope as much as possible, especially since this is a domestically produced film," concluded Indro.
