Grid.ID - Kwikku is again holding a writing competition from September 4 to December 4 2021.

In this year's Kwikku competition there are four categories, namely Novel, Webtoon, and Design Cover.

Titled #PastiBISBerkarya, Kwikku has prepared a total prize of IDR 500 million.

Later the script will be made into a film.

"We believe in the limited space for movement due to the ongoing pandemic," said Kwikku CEO, Hamdi Musaad, during a virtual press conference, Saturday (4/9/2021).

"This still doesn't dampen our enthusiasm to produce works that are full of quality."

"Seeing the very rapid development of the internet, the potential for digital works in Indonesia is also automatically getting bigger."

"We are involved in building a Digital Creative Hub, which enables creators to create the best work for everyone in the creative metaverse," he continued.

Nevertheless, Faza Meonk as the judge for the Webtoon category said that this competition could produce talented young comic artists.

"To find young comic artists (creators) with interesting qualities, of course a competition like this can be an effective step," said Faza.

"The only challenge is how Kwikku can absorb this potential in a direction that will advance the comic industry," he continued.

In organizing this competition, Kwikku cooperates with 10 professionals in their fields who are entrusted to be judges to find the best works from works that have successfully passed for evaluation.

In the novel category, there are Dee Lestari, A. Fuadi, Agustinus Wibowo, Rintik Sedu, and Erisca Febriani as the judges.

Meanwhile, in the webtoon category, there will be Sweta Kartika, Chris Lie, Olvyanda, Krisanti, and Faza Meonk.
