The 2019 Indonesian Film Festival (FFI) has officially announced the 21 nominees who will compete for the Citra Cup on 12 December.
Interestingly, from the 21 nominations, there were three films that received many nominations at the 2019 Indonesian Film Festival.
The three films that received many nominations were Bumi Manusia, Two Blue Lines and Kucumbu My Beautiful Body.
The film Bumi Manusia, directed by Hanung Bramantyo, received 12 nominations.
Meanwhile, another Falcon Pictures film, My Stupid Boss 2, received 3 nominations and Si Doel The Movie 2 placed 2 nominations at the Indonesian Film Festival.
Overall, the production house Falcon Pictures succeeded in getting 17 nominations at the 2019 Indonesian Film Festival.
According to Warta Kota records, of the 123 film titles registered, only 18 were nominated for the 2019 Indonesian Film Festival.
In addition to Bumi Manusia, the blockbuster films Dua Garis Biru and Kucumbu Body Indahku received 12 nominations.
Meanwhile, the films Gratis, Gundala: This Country Needs Patriots and 27 Steps of May each received 9 nominations at the 2019 Indonesian Film Festival.
The film Keluarga Cemara placed 6 nominations, Ambu (4 nominations), A Man Called Ahok (3 nominations) and Si Doel The Movie 2, Milly & Mamet and Pocong the Origin each with 2 nominations.
Five other Indonesian films, namely Ave Maryam, Former Manten, Dread Out and Ghost Writer, and Orang Kaya Baru received 1 nomination each.
As the highest award event in the Indonesian film scene, the Citra Cup award is eagerly awaited by all Indonesian filmmakers.
