The New Stars of Warkop DKI Reborn: Aliando, Adipati, and Randy Nidji
Following the success of ‘Warkop DKI Reborn: Jangkrik Boss! Part 1’ and its sequel, Falcon Pictures has began the production of ‘Warkop DKI Reborn 3’.”On behalf of Warkop DKI family, I would like to thank you for your presence. Alhamdulillah, we continue the third and fourth ‘Warkop DKI Reborn’ films. Hopefully, we can continue to be creative, provide entertainment, and even more than that. We are not replacing, but only preserving,” said Indro ‘Warkop’ at a press conference held in Menteng, Central Jakarta, Friday (3/15).
As predicted, the film features new faces for the characters Dono, Kasino, and Indro. The identity of the three new casts had made Warkop DKI fans curious after Indro ‘Warkop’ uploaded their photos with their faces covered in stickers.
Now, the cast for the three legendary figures has finally been revealed. Aliando Syarief is trusted to play Dono, Adipati Dolken plays Kasino, and Randy Danistha a.k.a. Randy ‘Nidji’ as Indro. The three will also star in ‘Warkop DKI Reborn 4’.
“To be sure, I am very anxious because it is so challenging. There are already three layers, the original one, the first and second ‘Warkop DKI Reborn’, and we are the third. Surely people already develop attachments to the earlier versions. So it’s a matter of not to replace, but to give a different flavor, “said Adipati.
“For sure, I am very moved. Joining this project is like joining a big family that has become a part of Indonesian culture. I am very grateful,” said Randy.
Not only the cast, the director for the two films is also different from ‘Warkop DKI Reborn: Jangkrik Boss! Part 1’ and the sequel. Falcon Pictures is now entrusting the two films to Rako Prijanto as the director.
“The first time this project was offered by Falcon, frankly, I was anxious. Trusted with this very heavy responsibility,
I hope I can bear it well. To be sure, we want to make this film more serious, with higher levels of difficulty, and unlimited creativity, “Rako said.
The filming process of ‘Warkop DKI Reborn 3’ will begin on March 18 and is expected to last for 52 days.
